OFFICIAL LANGUAGE The official language of the conference is English CLOTHING Informal for all occasions. Please bring swim suits, sunglasses and walking shoes, wind breakers and warm clothes for the evening in the desert. CLIMATE The weather in the Dead Sea in February is generally warm by day (21.5°C) and chilly by night (13°C(. Rain is rare in this part of Israel CURRENCY The New Israeli Shekel (NIS) is the official national currency. All the major credit cards are accepted in Israel in places displaying the logo at the entrance AIRPORT INFORMATION & TRAVEL Ben Gurion International Airport is located 20-30 minutes from Tel Aviv and 40-50 minutes from Jerusalem. Private taxis are available 24 hours a day, as well as a regular train service to Tel Aviv. We provide shuttle services from the airport to the Hotel at the Dead Sea every two hours from 12PM to 8PM on Tuesday February 4th. There is no readily available transportation to the Dead Sea. Approximate cost is NIS1,100 ($300) per taxi to the Hotel and the ride takes about 2 1/2 hours' drive. VISA All visitors to Israel must hold a valid passport for at least six months from entry date into Israel. Many countries do not require an entry visa for Israel. Participants are requested to consult the Israeli Embassy or Consulate in their home country or with their travel agency for specific details related to visa requirements.
